I Had a Little Husband

I Had a LIttle Husband

I had a little husband,
No bigger than my thumb;
I put him in a pint pot
And there I bade him drum.
I gave him some garters
To garter up his hose,
And a little silk handkerchief
To wipe his pretty nose.

Garter: An elasticized band worn around the leg to hold up a stocking or sock.
Hose: Socks or stockings
Pint pot: tankard for ale
Midi: I Had a Little Husband
